Look up “human penis” on Wikipedia and quickly realize that most American men have almost half the skin on their dicks chopped off at birth and don’t even realize how much they’re missing

We are made well aware of it every time we go to pee.

You’d be surprised at how many people either 1. Are completely unaware of what genital mutilation is 2. Refuse to acknowledge it, deny, deny, argue, insult, ignore

And once you catch them running out of logical excuses for genital cutting (they’re are none) usually the final and last fall-back is … “Well… Women have it Worse… in like Africa and Stuff!”

Like just because some women across the world are experiencing genital mutilation too doesn’t excuse the fact that the USA still does genital cutting en masse for over a century like … bringing awareness to male circumcision is NOT undermining women’s rights or issues. I’m simply trying to bring bodily autonomy and equal rights for all

Over 80% of males in the USA had their genitals mutilated at birth so consider yourself lucky

We were born “fully assembled” but our medical system failed us and some twat took a torture device to our penis while our parents signed the consent forms and part of our dick was torn off forever

The difference is you have the choice to get the cut whenever you want. We didn’t get to choose. Being circumcised isn’t inherently the problem- it’s the lack of consent and autonomy over our own body.

Because we need to end the human rights violation and provide men with the equal right to genital integrity? I mean seriously: why did we ban circumcision for women? Because it’s cruel and wrong to chop off sensitive parts of someone’s genitals

Comparing the two isn’t right, they’re done for different reasons

They are comparable. Both originated to control or suppress sexuality, and both were later justified with hygiene claims. Just read any medical literature from the late 19th to mid-20th century.. it’s all there. Different cultures, same underlying violation of bodily autonomy.

Well, it is. Female circumcision was banned in 1996 and labeled “mutilation”. The definition of mutilation is “an act or instance of destroying, removing, or severely damaging a limb or other body part of a person” If circumcising a woman is mutilation, it’s only fair to acknowledge circumcising a man is also mutilation. Genital cutting without consent is a violation of bodily autonomy, regardless of gender.

I found out a few years ago and have been trying to spread awareness because people still continue to dismiss it as wrong, justify it, ridicule me for bringing it up, and generally deny that it’s a violation of bodily autonomy

Just because someone doesn’t know what they’re missing doesn’t mean there’s nothing missing. Plenty of women choose labiaplasty or cosmetic procedures as adults, the key difference is consent. We don’t tattoo or pierce babies just because lots of adults like tattoos or piercings. Permanent body modifications should be a personal choice, not something forced on someone before they can decide for themselves
