Hmmm….I usually just assume the girl isn’t flirting, and I totally missed it with the two people out of hundreds that they were….one of them it was so obvious that she was. She made eye contact with me in the dining hall, and then I apologized because I was staring off into space, and then later she walked up to me with her number on a piece of paper. We FaceTimed 3 times and had a lot in common, but I told her I had feelings for someone else but wanted to still be friends, but she didn’t want
Are these people already your friends that you hang out with, or are they people you see in class or something? If they’re already your friends you can tell them before it happens that you’re treating them the same way as your girl friends and you don’t want them to get the impression that you want to be more than friends. I usually just assume that the person isn’t flirting with me because it’s really hard to tell + I have autism.
DMed you the long explanation of why (I’ve thought about this a lot), but short answer is society conditions us to not talk about emotions with other guys + be as affectionate with each other as women are with each other. So when they can trust you they get attached to you and then they fall for you.
