At slightly lower rates than women I’d think but it’s not talked about nearly as much. Bulimia gang ftw 😭

Yes men get eating disorders. They are actually a huge portion of it because it’s entirely rebranded for men as body building and gym body when they have extremely low body fat and it’s just unhealthy. There is also the obvious bullying for being overweight which typically makes for eating disorders as well. It’s not that uncommon which is very sad.

Guys deff get eating disorders, but it’s usually in relation to binge eating, and or anorexia, far less bulimia. (Men don’t suffer the same body shaming as women do) So the shame plays a less central role). That said, it’s far less diagnosed in men, because of gender norms.

Yes, but it’s less common (probably because of societal expectations for men and women).

No you’re 100% right😭🫶 I should’ve thought about it more. Or at least rephrase it to something like “ why isn’t it talked more with men”

That is DEFINITELY a better question. Thank you for using your noodle. It should def be talked about more, I think it goes under the radar bc it functions differently with women alongside body dysmorphia

For the men side of things, but it’s kind of expected and obvious when I think about it for more than 5 seconds…
