If you’re not sure what to say, ask him about something he’s interested in. If you find the right thing he’ll yap for hours and you don’t have to say much, just be interested. Also if it’s not already set, do movie before dinner, so then you have something to talk about during dinner

Just ask him about it and be interested, I’m sure he’d love to tell you about it, if he gets offended and acts rude that you don’t know then that’s a red flag
