On my feed, every other woman is NOT on only fans. This is the shit I’m talking about. Why is YOUR social media filled with sex workers if you are not engaging with OF more than the average person? And it’s not just because you’re a man—I have seen plenty of men’s social media and it’ll be dumb shit & sports because the algo knows what they like to see & “IG sex worker baddie” is not what they engage with.

I’m saying I don’t talk this much about things I don’t engage with or think about. I can’t rattle off the names of porn stars and instagram models the way these sorts of men can. And I think men who can name all these OF girls and have social media full of sex workers are more “engaged” with the industry than they might think they are & are probably ashamed so they overcorrect & spend all their time complaining about it.

But if you make it your entire personality to complain about it, instead of doing something about it to change your algorithm to your actual interests… I think it’s justified to be suspicious. When I don’t want to see something on social media, including sex workers, I make changes to what videos I stop & watch, what I comment on, I block people, etc. I don’t think it’s just a matter of “Well I’m a man so I have no choice but to have my entire tik tok page be porn”

Op never said it affected her life 🫡 I’m sure I’m bias because none of my guy friends have porn-filled algos, they have like random sports stuff & really dumb humor stuff & whatnot. But the point isn’t that OF isn’t a thing, I’m saying people who genuinely believe women IN REAL LIFE and online are majority sex workers must be interacting with a lot of sex workers & doing NOTHING about it. I think, at least for some, these men are defensive because they feel guilty cuz we made porn shameful.

The behavior just reads as defensive, the way a high school bully might be homophobic & then come out as gay. I’m not saying it’s everyone, not at all, but when it’s something they won’t shut up about & they project “OF girl” onto every woman they meet… well that’s just not normal behavior to me regardless of if they subscribe.

I don’t think the names of pornstars are remotely close to as common of knowledge as fast food. I and the rest of america get fast food ads. I’ve seen an OF link in someone’s bio maybe 4 times total. There is definitely not enough visibility to OF to complain about specifics, or to even know specifics unless one seeks them out

99% of OF creators don’t make money. It’s not “easy” free money. The amount of work involved compared to the amount you get is laughable. You’d be better off day trading crypto
