most of these you’re still encouraged to wear the seatbelt people just don’t (the same way it used to be with cars) motorcycles are a different beast, more like an actual cycle

Airplanes: During take off and landing due to the need for maneuvering. When at cruising altitude the flight path is essentially straight so a seatbelt is pointless unless turbulence is involved.
