so i was just at the store & this guy pops up beside me (scares me so bad bc he just started talking loudly when i was stuck in my thoughts) but he asked me if i dressed up as rapunzel for halloween? or if i was going to? idk it was hard to understand. he

didnt speak very clearly (i think he had a lisp or smth) BUT the reason im posting is after i clarified what he was asking & then he tried to explain what rapunzel is & i had to clarify that no no thats not what i was confused abt😭 he just went "oh" & walked away really quickly so i wanna know what happened😭😭 i have a feeling hes autistic but...?? did he just let his impulsive thoughts win or whats going on here any input would be appreciated

i wish i handled the situation better. he shook me up by being there so suddenly & i kinda got skittish but i really would have liked to make him feel more comfortable

Some people just read it and judge you instantly and that’s kinda what happened. It’s very similar to Reddit. But yeah I don’t blame you if it’s the first time interacting with an autistic kid, it’s kinda like you have an idea they’re special but can’t prove it.

We also have a deficiency of social skills so it wasn’t instinctual in there nature to back it up. And sometimes we are hella intimidated by women
