I don’t like having sex early in a relationship either, but I don’t think I’d wait until marriage just because for me, sexual compatibility is also important long term. If there was still physical intimacy in other ways I’d probably be willing to wait up to 1-2 years still though

This may not be what you need to hear, but this is my perspective. I’m almost 21, and to me sexual activity in a relationship is a huge element of one. I’m not even at a point in my life where I’m thinking of marriage (I have many friends who are!) so to me if I hear “I’m waiting until marriage” that person and I are simply incompatible. I have no problems being in a platonic relationship with them, but physical intimacy is essential for me.

Yeah, I just ironically find that the guys who are also waiting are either 1) a little odd or 2) unfortunately not my type physically so it really narrows the dating pool
