A huge portion of homeless are on drugs or have mental issues. Even if you don’t give them money you can always go buy them a drink or snack to feel better. But you are never obligated.

I withheld my vote because of the last sentence. It looks like it got cut off but I think it meant to say “I’m as poor as he is”? If so, just cut that shit out and ur good. Like 1 said if you can give/feel like giving that’s great but there’s no obligation. Similarly, you don’t need to compare yourself and act like you’re just as poor when you’re likely not.

Cause there’s times when I really don’t have $2 to spare, however I’m not homeless and begging for money. My broke is very clearly different from that type of broke.

No, it’s fine. “As is” and “as it is” can be used interchangeably. I think #2 just misunderstood what you meant.
