As a guy I often think this, a lot of girls ik end up just manipulating for their own benefit or attention. Notice it happening to me or my girl friends doing it to others

Do they ask for or expect something in return for there so called acts of “kindness”?

I mean, most people expect some sort of result when doing everything, and by that definition, everything is manipulation. It sucks, but that makes it hard to draw a line anywhere for specific actions. You don’t need to worry about “Are they doing this just because they want me to also do nice things??” or anything like that, just ask yourself if people actually care about you. Focus on over relationship quality instead of motives for particular things.

Yeah, all genders can be guilty of it. For me, it’s more that they pretend that they want a real connection, do everything right but then the moment I do anything sexual they suddenly change their mind and “aren’t ready for a relationship “.. literally will play the long game too (ex waited 6 months 🫠)
