We recently had a trip for my 19th bday (July 2nd) and I had to ride with them, we drove a day before my bday; a 4hr drive. They’re both sitting at the front, talking and playing music (I can’t play cuz it’s my brother’s car, so his gf plays music the entire trip). My brother engages conversation with his gf the entire trip and even when he rarely speaks to me, his gf goes completely quiet and even if I subtly try to talk to her, she just hm’s or nods, or gives one word answers.

During my bday, we go to the water park and I’m left alone while they go off on their own. It’s this way until we leave. They do this the entire trip; go off on their own (even when we’re supposed to go somewhere together), stay ever so long, and I’m left with siting alone like a fool. And neither answers their phone.

My last straw just now, was when we were supposed to go to the arcade, but they went off somewhere and I’m left waiting at the hotel until they come back an hour before the arcade closes, and we got there about 40mins before they closed. It’s not mainly about the arcade, rather their show of disrespect and it’s just annoying tbh.

So I plan on telling my parents that whenever we’re going on a trip (as a family) and my brother’s gf is coming along, I would prefer to be with the old people during the trip or not go at all. I’d rather this, than be stay my brother and his gf. My brother’s gf talks only to him, she doesn’t try to interact with his family or even talk to us. I get she may be shy or introverted, but we’re her bf’s family and in our culture, that’s just called being stuck up. This isn’t my main problem though.
