As a girl, I would LOVE if a guy came up to me in the gym. Omg.

Newton’s third law of genderdynamics postulates that for every single piece of dating advice bequeathed upon men by women, an equal number of women are saying exactly the opposite And it’s never been proven wrong yet lmfao

its not the time or place for it. im trying to focus on my work out. also getting hit on isn't almost never a pleasant experience. it doesn't just end at compliments. just leave people alone at the gym. im not there to make friends.

i don't know a single women who wants to be interrupted while working out especially just to be objectified. those women aren't working out for the right reasons.

today i was harassed by a man at a gym and it made me really uncomfortable. im changing gyms bc of it. he wouldn't leave me alone for my entire workout and just kept asking me questions or staring at me. he didn’t even work out

Being approached or hit on is completely different than being harassed

not in my experience, even when i reported it to my gym they told me they can't control if people hit on me or not.

im not saying never hit on women, but the gym is literally the worst place. a "hobby meetup" whatever that is, is probably different, and like with this post i agree you shouldn't become friends with a woman if ur only intention is to build up to a romantic relationship....

in my experience being hit on, means men coming up to you and bothering u and making comments on ur body and not respecting no.

Ok well that’s being harassed you even described it as harassed rather than hit on

Most regular gym goers describe going to the gym as their hobby ☠️

i go to the gym everyday and it's certainly not a hobby, it's something everyone should do in order to stay fit. hobbies are like painting or playing video games or reading. i wouldn't consider working out a hobby, but playing recreational sports is ya know?

I go to the gym to improve myself. If a guy sees that and finds it attractive, I’m totally flattered! I don’t feel objectified, I moreso feel noticed.

so if he says you have a great rack and bomb ass you don't feel objectified? if he told you that you have "BJ" lips you wouldn't feel objectified?? or if he told you he would like to test your stamina somewhere else?? you'd be flattered? i don't want anyone making comments abt my body like that

Woah😭 hey me neither girl. If a cute guy came up to you at the gym and started a casual, natural conversation and ended off on “hey can I get your number?” Or “would you want to get dinner sometime?” do you feel objectified? Because that is what I’m talking about. Those assholes who say that stuff will do it anywhere, the gym doesnt change the person. Getting “hit on” does not imply the creepiness you are describing. Would you want to be hit on like that anywhere at all? Being hit on is
