Well I don’t know your bf but almost certainly bc he assumes/thinks/knows that you are too Sometimes he doesn’t even want to be exclusive but pretends bc he knows(/thinks) you’ll only fw him if he does. I know some women who habitually cheat, but insist on exclusivity from one or more of their bfs (ig bc they want to think of themselves as the relationship type or commitment ready when they’re not). So in his mind he may be giving you what he thinks you want; the illusion of exclusivity
