Tbh I watched a movie from the 80s not too long ago where the guys there claimed being nonchalant gets them more girls, so ig this particular mindset has been around for an awful long time. None the less, it’s still stupid

Nonchalant genuinely works with a lot of women because then there’s a “chase” feeling. I’ve seen it work enough times

Might be true, but that’s what gets people to respond

Generally our mood or character is crushed and we get weird looks when we actually god forbid care about something, try to be the change in that regard if you haven’t already, then you’ve done your part.

How about women get over their height kink and their obsession with men being 6ft tall first? See how many doors open when you stop considering men of AVERAGE HEIGHT subhuman!

Exactly, so why are you saying people can’t be nonchalant. You can get the same thing being chalant or not.

Nonchalant is different than chill

Ok I think we’re arguing semantics then bc no one likes someone who tries to act cool

The woman chasing the man ?….

Anonymous replying to -> OP 2w

Not exactly, just the feeling of wanting someone and you finally get them is more rewarding to the human brain than someone who’s immediately available. Being chalant can be seen as desperate, undesired by other people, too friendly, etc. it’s not a man vs woman thing it’s a human thing

There’s a difference between nonchalant and busy with your own life? Nonchalant it’s like they don’t care

upvote 6 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 2w

Of course there’s a difference, but when you’re attracted to a person it’s easy to blur the lines. When a girl finds a guy hot, “he hasn’t texted me back or called me in 3 days” can turn into “he’s just been really busy and probably makes a lot of money”

Dating apps are an awful thing to use to asses dating culture since its inherently rooted in physical attractiveness being the gateway into connection

Let me try to help. Ya know that meme of “do you even want to hang out?” “Oooh how considerate. Like I said ‘whatever’” “LIKE I SAID WHATEVER?! FUCK THIS GUY” That’s non chalant

Literally what are you talking about. Most girls don’t care. We do care if they are interested or not

i’m gonna sit here & say that not every girl is going to enjoy being ghosted for 3 days. i certainly don’t assume he’s out there making money? the last time someone didn’t speak to me for a week i removed them?

Exactly so that’s why I was like? Everyone’s busy, if you really liked them you make time to text them. Not right away, but within a timely manner

as a law student, i can attest, truly busy people know how to prioritize their time if you’re not getting communication you’re not a priority! lol

Most girls would agree that we would rather have a guy that cares than one that acts like he doesn’t

I agree, and it’s something I’m working on upholding despite the pressure from a lot of people around me. But it is a great deal of pressure
