2 Ask Men posts in one week? Someone might think I like you guys. Anyway, I have started doing tarot readings in Ask Women and I want to see what comes up for you guys. Anything you want some totally non mystical insight into? I really hope it’s not sad.Your current situation: Judgement (reversed). Oh sweetheart. 😭 Are you okay? Lots of doubt. Self criticism. An action you can take: 8 of Swords. You’re currently holding yourself back and in a prison of your own making. You need to break free of it. Honestly, please do hun. You deserve more than you think. The results of breaking free: The World. Fulfillment. Yes, someone will like you but you have some work to do on yourself. Mentally at least. My sweet lamb, please be kinder to yourself.
Apparently you need to let go of something. Let it fail or accept that something won’t go entirely your way. 5. What do you need to let go of?: The Sun. Success? I mean that makes sense if you can support yourself by letting something fail. What the hell are you doing this next week? 6. What should you focus on?: 2 of Swords (reversed) Oh brother this guy STINKS! So… You have nothing to focus on. There is no focus. Or maybe focus on the lesser of two evils. I am SO invested in this now.
I have so many questions to ask you but I can’t pick a single one I care about the most. Roll a D6 and pick one of the following questions i guess. Will I finally get out of my writing slump? Will this be my academic comeback? Are my current friends The Ones™️ ? Will I find someone to love me for who I am and spend the rest of my life with? How are my internship prospects looking? aaaaand is this the year I get brave enough to stand up for myself?
1. The Love You Want: The Hierophant (reversed). A new path. Something you haven’t experienced before. Something… Rebellious even? Okay. Interesting. 2. What Love Has Taught You: 4 of Cups (reversed). Awareness. To care. To you love is something that takes some effort. Nonchalance doesn’t cut it. 3. What Holds You Back: The Magician. Desire. Manifestation. You’re feeling things out and you want love but you’re not quite sure about making moves. Or maybe you don’t want to take a risk.
Are your heart, mind, and spirit ready? 2 of Swords, 10 of Pentacles, The Fool. Maybe, Yes, and Yes. Your heart is unsure. You have a choice to make apparently and your heart is like “Mehhhh”. Your mind wants everything to come together and is like “I know what I want. Everything else needs to catch up.” Your spirit is ready for something new. Eager to start even. What a lovely reading. I kind of wonder more about you now. Rebellious love that you’re hesitant about? What is THAT?
6 cards. 1. Theme of the Week: Queen of Pentacles. Comfort, Nourishment, Practicality. Sensibility. Sounds like a pretty mid week tbh. Everything that needs to happen will. 2. Challenge of the Week: King of Pentacles. (Weird). Hard work. I guess you have a responsibility during the next week that you have to handle. 3. Blessings of the next Week: The World. Whatever that responsibility is, you’ll get it done. 4: How can you support yourself? 10 of Swords. Giving up? (Now that’s odd.)…
Excellent question. There’s one spread I know that has to do with career paths but that one I think you need to know what you want first. What if we tried it and sort of interpreted it as a possible prospect? I could also just do a simple choice read. Tell me the options and I tell you where those might lead?
i can tell you some of my career options!! i’m an anthropology major (that’s the major i like) and am thinking about going to grad school for that, specifically to study either anthro and food or anthro and religion (and how it ties into colonialism, how ppl see the world, etc) but i also think that might stray away from anthropology and more into sociology. i also am interested in potentially food justice/nonprofit work and expanding ppls access to food? or tbh just saying fuck it to it all and
traveling/backpacking and getting random jobs around the world. i’ve thought about doing some office work, but i know that long term i need a mix of indoor and outdoor jobs - i can’t be sat at a desk all day, bht can’t be doing manual labor outside all day either. idk i hope this was easy to understand/helpful? lmk if you need more info
Okay so let’s break these down… What does pursuing anthropology lead to?: 2 of Swords (wow I’m pulling that one a lot today) Indecisiveness. It’ll lead you down a path of more choices. Seeing as you don’t have an exact focus on what to do with it, that makes sense. Nonprofit work?: 3 of Pentacles: Disorganization. I mean, a little chaos isn’t bad I guess. Backpacking & Odd Jobs?: 5 of Pentacles. Poverty. (Wow. Big yikes.) I won’t expand on that.
That sounds like a fun one! I don’t think I’ve ever done that before. Let’s do it! What’s going on in your life right now?: 2 of Wands. Planning. Leaving the familiar. You’re in a state of moving forward toward something hopeful. That’s fun! What’s something you can change to support this journey?: Queen of Cups (reversed). Set some emotional boundaries. There are insecurities or dependencies holding you back that you can and should let go of. …
What are fixed points in this journey that you cannot change?: Ace of Pentacles. Opportunities. Apparently, you will have lots that will be offered to you during this transition. Lots of positivity. Ha! The cards say you are going to enjoy this whether you want to or not. Deal with it. How aggressive. 😂
Sure. There’s a spread called brick by brick that gets into the trajectory of your career path. 6 cards. Let’s go! 1. What was the purpose of all the schooling in the first place?: The World. Fulfillment. Completion. You just wanted to get to the end and enjoy the fruits of all the labor. That’s fair. 2. What was your motivation?: King of Cups. Balance. Control. You wanted stability. Something you could look at and say “I did it!” 3. What is your role?: The Empress. Hmm. …
…usually The Empress has to do with nurturing and sometimes even fertility. I don’t know what kind of career you’re aiming for but maybe the job you would get would put you into a role where you take care of others or do some sort of monitoring? 4. What kind of projects can you expect or how do you feel about this potential job?: Knight of Swords. Wow. You’re ready to jump in. Action. Confrontation. Getting your knowledge out there. Sounds exciting. I’m curious what you’re in school for. …
5. What kind of rewards are in store for you?: 5 of Cups. Ugh. Disappointment. I assume that means it won’t pay well. But you’ll enjoy it though! Do what you love. 6. What are the potential prospects out there? 4 of Pentacles (reversed). Greed. Whatever you do, you’ll be dealing with people that don’t respect your true worth. Stick to your guns I guess.
I can do a simple yes/no for all of these but I feel like you want something more thorough? I’ll do the yes/ no for all of them and then you pick one for more detail. Fair? 1. 9 of Wands (reversed). Yes 2. The Hierophant. Maybe 3. Strength. Yes 4. 2 of Wands. Yes 5. 4 of Swords. Maybe 6. 4 of Pentacles. No. Hmm. Well now I’m sad.
I’ll do a Weakness, Strength, Advice read to see what’ll get you there by December. Weakness: 9 of Cups. Self Satisfaction. Luxury. You must be having a hard time focusing on your goal. A little procrastination doing things you like but aren’t what you need to be doing to accomplish your goals. Strength: 5 of wands. Competitiveness. I guess what drives you is justifying your success. Showing other people your work. Advice: King of Swords. Discipline. Get your rear in gear, sugar. Lol!
1. How did you contribute to the break up? Ace of Cups (reversed). Emptiness. Loss of Emotion. Figure out who “emptied the cup” and how you can put it back up right. 2. How did they contribute to the breakup? Judgement (reversed). Doubt. There was a sense of loss or guilt. They saw something they didn’t like. 3. Advice for you: Page of Cups (reversed). There’s a sense of disappointment that you have to not take personally. A rejection or obstacle that is just a fact of life. …
4. Advice for them: The Lovers (reversed) Wow a lot of reverse in here. There’s a disconnect that they must reconcile. A sense of wrongness in the relationship that needs to be balanced. 5. Other influences on the relationship: Ace of Pentacles. Another opportunity. Something new and enticing. 6. Can the relationship be saved? Knight of Swords. Yes. If issues are confronted head on and your differences are settled on both sides. …
9 of Cups. Someone that knows her worth. She has seen some shit and has managed to find joy after a great loss. She has suffered some major emotional hurdles but picked herself up and looked for bigger and better things. She has already found those things and is currently enjoying her life. So in short, someone already happy as she is.
