No I expect yall to eventually start supporting the men trying to enforce the biblical penalty for rape which is death. When we stopped killing the rapists they multiplied and bought an island to a bunch of horrific stuff so… back to common law/abrahamic law penalties for such things while we clean this mess up.
for that to happen though, then rape needs to be easier to prove in court and that is extremely hard to do. most rape/SA victims regardless of gender don't tell people they've been raped/SA. at least immediately after it happens. not to mention since you brought up at least im assuming you're referring to Epstein island? typically minors who are abused in that way don't even know whats going on until they are older. which again makes it hard to prove.
While I see what you're saying its not even abt assigning blame. I saw a comment somewhere that when someone complains they had a bad day, you typically apologize even though you specifically didn't have anything to do with their bad day. It be really weird if in response you said "well not all of your days are gonna be bad" which is objectively true everyone is bound to have a good day at some point but its just kinda ignoring the way the feel currently in the moment.
isn’t that… basically the same as saying not all men? /gen That sounds like the opposite of the point the sarcastic comic is making. apologizing with a “but” is usually what the people railing against “not all men” are talking about, and im a little confused where you personally draw the line on what’s ok to add
to be a little more clear, when people are like “dang Jerry did this horrible thing me”, everyone is usually pretty comfortable going “yeah I’m sorry, Jerry sucks”. It’s when people make statements like “Men always do this horrible thing” that people are more likely to respond with “no we don’t? that’s just Jerry” or something. Both are fueled by feelings and are looking for support, but one is focused and one is generalized, and so they get different responses
Excellent way of putting it #6. You’ll all forgive me for my stance of “Kill Jerry before the Jerry’s multiply.” But that seems to have been the solution for thousands of years and only in 1977 when an American judge thought himself wiser than God. Go figure 50ish years later, we need to do a 180.
