Lowkey I just severely dislike casual texting. Love a good in person conversation or phone conversation but texting small talk is painful for some reason

I’ve never even made it to the texting phase. But I also don’t text my friends (guy or girl) except to exchange information. It’s very utilitarian. I suspect most guys are like this, not texting or calling their friends in the free time. Most girls I know regularly text and call their friends even if they have nothing to say. So maybe he has far less practice.

Men have a lot of pressure to preform in conversation compared to women, texting isn’t relaxing and can make us overthink; we worry about how we come off. It’s a lot better if we talk on phone or face to face as there’s a flesh and blood person to read expressions.

Because genuine conversation or not I just hate texting. Text to set up an in person meeting or a call, I just really don’t wanna spend any time casually conversing over text if I can avoid it

Cause when I’m having a casual conversation over text it just gets really cumbersome quickly. If we’re both engaged and asking questions then it quickly turns into 8 different messages with responses to various points and then I take longer to reply cause I don’t wanna sit there and respond to 8 different points
