I do think it’s weird. If you’re not sure about the person you CAN explore other options but if you know you like them ion know why you would date around

You go on an another first date in case the person that you liked doesn’t like you back. That way, if things don’t end up working out with the person you like, you have other options.

I don’t really get how it’s “waiting around” if you’re going on dates. I don’t think it’s a great idea to just assume that relationships won’t work out unless you’re not interested in the relationship
