I’d say mostly listening. It can be easy to hear someone vent and just try to resolve it right there, I think we’re all guilty of it to some extent. But it means so much more for somebody to actually hear you out instead of dismissing you, and just being there with you

i haven’t seen him in 2 weeks so i mainly text him. i’ve avoided providing solutions instead reminded him that i’m here, that he doesn’t have to do this alone, and just validating his feelings
