I have been called “bro” and “dude” nearly my whole life and I never say anything about it because it doesn’t matter in the context of whatever follows. Why is it when I say “girl” or “bitch” in the same manner, guys always have to say “I’m not a girl!”?
Men are just more touchy about the subject when it’s turned back on them since it’s not normalized. And bitch is not the same. No one’s walking around calling ppl bastards causally

Gender dysphoria, men seem to be more sensitive to it

i mean if we're really trying to make it even the analogous term would be to call a girl "boy" rather than "bro" or "dude"

I’d say “girl” to “bro” or “dude” is very comparable

Usually when someone refers to a guy with feminine pronouns/phrases it’s as a way to insult them so when it happens I think a lot of men would perceive it as an insult even if that wasn’t the intent
