Those types of guys will hit on a tree if the tree looked remotely feminine, it has nothing to do with you. Getting better at weeding them out is the best you can do here, but they won't stop coming.

Most haven't harmed me, but I do know some of their histories so I started keeping a running list and looking at the relationships they are in now where they are horrible to their partners. My friends end up with decent guys so I'm just curious if I'm doing something wrong to attract the bad ones

What do you usually try to look for in a guy?

Study attachment style, a lot of people with insecure attachment style will look very charming eg. avoidants gives a vibe of calm and emotional stability while anxious attachments gives an active and love bombing energy. Those could be attractive in the beginning
