should pursue a relationship with a guy as a broke college student?? I HATE when ppl pay for me or going out with no money. not being to buy gifts for bdays or holidays is something I hate. I just don’t like the pressure of someone paying for me

I do have a job… but I can only work part time and on weekends bc of my schedule, and that money is going towards college payments and my sport as i’m paying for it all by myself. my issue is just not having the extra spending i would like to put into the relationship.

yea i just really like this guy, and he made it pretty obvious he likes/ is always willing to pay for things but ill just never be okay with it

I appreciate the sentiment, but given your financial situation with getting through college, and his financial situation and ability to afford to pay for you, it makes sense to let him pay for your dates in this case. Don’t let your financial situation come between getting to know a guy you really like who really likes you when he’s willing to pay for your dates.

As for not being able to buy gifts for birthdays or holidays, just do something homemade. It’s really about the thought, not the money.
