Why do men always ask for Snap and not any other form of contact? (I’m just curious)

As a girl I usually interpret that as men only wanting hookups, when they ask for insta or your number they actually like you and don’t just wanna fuck you but maybe I’m wrong and that’s not their intention

I used to ask for snap since I thought it’d be a more casual way to keep in contact just in case so the girl didn’t feel overly pressured or anything. I don’t use snap anymore so I ask for a number in a polite way. I’m sure there’s guys out there with similar reasons

Wow everyone making it seem bad, I normally ask for snap just because it’s all right there and my texts are cluttered with random college nonsense like you wouldn’t believe. I also think it’s a lot more casual and less likely to freak somebody out. But if this is a sentiment that’s echoed throughout the mindsets of most women, I think I’ll change my approach to numbers instead

if they want ur primary form of communication to be on a social media app it’s not a serious interest. especially if ur just jumping from one dating app to another app

yeah, but atp just stay on the dating app, where 90% of people are speaking beforehand anyways. if you don’t trust someone you’ve already met irl to have your phone number, there are bigger issues. if he wants your instagram instead of your phone number he just wants to see more photos of you. it’s a terrible app for communicating.

Yah I mean I definitely prefer to use my number but it’s also nice to get a little background on someone through social media
