If you want my two cents, it’s the subject matter. Very few women are rapists, compared to 4-16% of college men according to self-reported anonymous surveys. About a quarter of women get raped at some point. Only 3% of rapists face consequences. My guess is that women are angrier about rape than the average man because it affects them more directly.
I believe one of the guys commented concerns about false accusations and convictions, which do happen. Men are more likely to be suspected and accused than women, so it’s reasonable for them to imagine a situation where they are falsely accused. Rapists further complicate the issue by claiming false accusation, turning every case into a question of credibility and creating the illusion of common false accusations.
