It can but most of the time it’s bc it’s a religious thing. Even some people from religions that promote chastity and prohibit premarital sex don’t adhere to that

Well idk what else to tell you. Me personally I’m religious enough to not be fooling around before marriage but I’m also not interested in dating rn bc I’ve got too much going on in my life atm, I’d assume the others who are celibate are in the same mindset

That what I’m trying to say . Hookup culture definitely showed me that . My best friend wouldn’t leave her toxic gf cause the sex was so good . People forget intimacy can be more than physical

The first part is weird. When I do enter a relationship, I want to fall in love with someone I have an emotional connection. I want to be able to trust that when we choose to be physical, I can be vulnerable without worrying that may the main reason for either of us to stay.
