OOO okay so this is a special interest of mine bc I kept having the same questions! First things first not all child m0lesters are peds! A lot of child preds are genuinely not attracted to them and are targeting them bc they’re easy. So essentially actual pedz don’t, most of them are horrified and are “non active” meaning they do not engage with things. Peds are into PRE-pubescent so that’s under 10 (usually) the minute those kids start developing they’re outta there. The child pred targets12+

I think it comes from a deep rooted corrupt way of thinking and if that thinking is changed their attraction would change, I don't necessarily think it's their fault but def their fault for indulging in it with CP or acting on it instead of seeking help

i personally feel like not acting on it isn't really enough tho? i like understand what you're saying but imagine you date someone who confess to you that they are a pdf file. i feel like if someone is aware it, they should get some help. like i don't think it's the same as like "oh i have a thing for gingers" yknow?

A lot of it IS in fact thinking, the attraction to perceived innocence/purity/cleanliness/simplicity/unconditional love/freedom to express all emotions etc. all the positive aspects and allowance we ascribe to kids. They want to gain access/acceptance for it or on the flip side corrupt it. I have notes on the 5 common types of preds/rapists from a sexual violence and deviance class I took, I’ll have to see if I can find it

From what I can remember you’ve got - the one who wants acceptance from their peers and can’t get it so they turn to people who can relate (I.e younger. They genuinely believe they can have an adult romantic relationship with said child) - the sadist (not the sexy fun one) but the one who wants to push limits and cause pain bc of the power dynamic - the opportunist who will do it bc it’s there I can’t remember the other two for the life of me

I think it’s usually rooted in some kind of mental illness or maladjustment into adulthood. It’s not excusable, and I think the reason they act on it so frequently is because they have this maladjustment. They aren’t thinking rationally.
