last week an indian guy asked me out, i told him i’m gay but he kept pushing. told this story to my friend who is also indian and she said this is why she hates indian men (like half jokingly)…is this a thing??
That’s…not an Indian thing that’s just him being a fucking idiot

Is he like from India or just has Indian ancestry? Maybe he just doesn’t know American social cues or understand English well

She's just being supportive for you at India's expense, women supporting women

yeah he’s international but i feel like “i’m gay” is less of a social cue and more of an overt statement yk? like he did seem to understand that i’m a dyke

I have a desi fiancé and we’re both bi & as far as I can understand some of the conservative sects of Indian culture don’t accept or acknowledge the lgbt community. It could be that he literally didn’t recognize you being gay as a concept

update ur literally right LOL my friend and his friend talked and apparently he had no idea that i meant i don’t like men at all. i did still reject him pretty clearly tho so whether he realized i was gay or not that’s still pretty icky to me
