Yeah I’ve been working on how to phrase it honestly for a while and think I finally have it figured out, just want to get the timing right. I’m a coward so I want to put it off but I also want to do right by her which I think means doing it sooner rather than later. I just hate that this holiday is this weekend, I can’t figure out what timing would be the least cruel

I agree with the second part, if y'all can't enjoy most things together because y'all are not compatible it makes sense to break up. The first part I kinda disagree with. For longer relationships, the initial "spark" matures into a love that is calmer and stable. I believe love is a choice. However, if you have absolutely no feelings/love for her whatsoever then most likely you were in love with the idea of her and are not realistically compatible

Yeah that’s what sucks about it, I never really felt the spark to begin with. She asked me out and I always thought she was nice and kinda cute so I was like sure yeah let’s see where this goes. I just never found that spark which sucks

That's valid then. If you never felt any real attraction to her personality, who she is, connection, etc., then she probably isn't your person and it's okay to break up
