It depends honestly. Some do it because they don’t feel comfortable expressing their feelings. So when they finally do it all kinda falls out at once. Some do it because they are scared that you’ll see them as they see themselves, so they try to make you feel extra special. Others, the bad ones, do it as a manipulation tactic.
