I’m lesbian. I have PCOS and my testosterone is off the charts because of the condition. Not once have I had the urge to assault women or over sexualize them. Why do you guys use testosterone as an excuse for your inability to keep it in your pants?

Anyone using testosterone as an excuse for assaulting women is just a predator. That’s not at ALL an excuse for SA. And any sane man will tell you that. This question is like saying “hey men, why do you guys rape?” Like???? Most of us don’t, and I can’t tell you why some monsters do

1’s an idiot, 2 is on the money. Obviously testosterone level has an effect on people’s thought processes, but it doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and different people’s experiences will vary a ton. It takes a combination of a bunch of factors to create a predator. Even then they’re still to blame, there’s not an excuse.

Men be getting sexualized too and most aren’t assaulting women. If there were 4 billion more women wit pcos they’d have a lot assaulting too

Not excusing that but same reason women use period hormones to excuse treating people around them horribly with no remorse…

I was a lesbian with pcos before i transitioned and went on more t and i havent felt that urge either. Theres certainly a pronounced diff in libido but to attribute that to an inability and refusal to respect boundaries is disgusting

I don’t know because I don’t. I just masturbate in my room alone to relieve it.

This is really stupid. The science behind it is testosterone is that it increases impulsivity and can lead to poor decision making with a strong positive correlation. Basically high testosterone does equal big monkey brain. You can also apply this to the rabbit hole of psychology like the Id, ego and superego. Although I feel like your post is just more misandrist in nature whether than actually trying to ask a question and learn

“Misandtrist” for telling you that you’re lying and manipulating women? Yall will do anything but growing the hell up and learning self control

You used psychological terms to sound smart when there’s literally zero correlation between assaulting women and testosterone levels.

I will say it again, you’re a moron. I never said it was an excuse. I simply stated both the physiological and psychological implications behind it. Counter to the politically correct answer people delude themselves too, testosterone does increase the likelihood of aggression because it increases impulsivity and leads to worse choices. In psychology people have a ton of underlying impulses that are suppressed due to higher level reasoning and other factors

You’re trying to argue your politically correct opinion against reality. This doesn’t mean all men behave this way because only a very small percentage do and this also doesn’t mean they have an excuse for it. You don’t want to learn you just want confirmation of your beliefs

I never said it didn’t. What’s up with nobody actually fucking reading what I’m saying. I never said testosterone was the sole fucking cause holy fuck

Reading is a basic fucking skill and comprehension is just a step above this. We aren’t dissecting medical journals or records or analyzing data here this isn’t fucking rocket science

I agree with 1. A quick google search tells you that someone with PCOS still produces 4-5x less testosterone than an ordinary guy and there are also other male sex hormones. This doesn’t excuse violence or impulsivitu, or even fully explain why there’s a gap between men and women’s inclination to act violently, but it does tell you that even in a perfect world, men would still be more inclined to violence

Sorry hun, not everything is about you? I called you an idiot then moved on and shared my own thoughts. If this was supposed to be a rebuttal to you, I would have made it a reply. Reading comprehension is a basic skill.

what does any of this have to do with being “politically correct”, what? which statement is the politically correct one?

Apparently saying testosterone has nothing to do with sex drive and assaulting women is politically correct and not just correct.

I know there’s a difference, and yes, T levels have violent correlations, but correlation is not causation, and the way male bodies interact with free testosterone is going to be different from female. T isn’t an independent factor that tips the scale towards male violence.

Wait I thought that women can get just as horny or hornier than men but female sexuality is just not as normalized and they also are better at controlling it and they respect boundaries. Essentially what you’re saying, but I didn’t realize testosterone had anything to do with it.

Im not a doctor and im not saying libido is inherent to hormones either, its just one of the number one side effects of being on testosterone. My doctor told me that, i experienced it, all my other transmasc friends did too. There are feminizing hrt hormones that increase libido too. This is widely known. That libido change has no impact on predatory behavior tho thats a personal/patriarchal failing though, as you suggest OP

No im not?? Im very explicitly saying that it is not an excuse and has no bearing on predatory behavior. To say that hormones, both "feminine" and "masculine" have a role to play in libido is not only true but does not imply anything about rape apologia.
