He graduated when you finished 6th grade and that can be off putting. Obviously as you age that age gap will seem less and less important. He is unsure how to continue rn.

I’m sorry that sucks, but the fact he backed off when finding out you’re so young is probably a sign he’s a good guy…

I wouldn’t date someone just out of school who was able to drink a year ago. The reason being is I’m 25 and I was completely different at my 21st birthday. Hes close to 30. By then, the goal is to settle down

I’m just saying that it would probably be the largest age gap he’s ever had.

I’m sure you are very intelligent and mature but life experience truly does change you, especially in your early 20s. Like another commenter said I am a VERY different person today at 25 than I was at 21. It’s a good thing. You’re gonna grow so much in the next few years especially living abroad. Most (non creepy) people in their late 20s- early 30s are looking for someone who has also gone through that transition to complete adulthood.

ok i know that the average 21 year old does not have a lot of maturity but i promise i do. i’ve experienced a lot of grief and loss over the years, ive struggled with making ends meet, and im completely financially self sufficient. ive met lots of people much older than me that dont have the same maturity so for me, i dont see the big deal
