Ik threatening to call 911 on someone in a mental health crisis is usually heartless, but if a man is manipulating me with the threat of suicide then is it ok?

If you are being manipulated, almost any action you take to stop getting manipulated is ok , you do not need justification for it.

Yes, that’s a very appropriate response to him manipulating you by threatening suicide.

yes it’s okay. i wish i had done so when my mom threatened suicide to me. they have to learn that their threats have consequences. someone who is actually having a mental health crisis? call suicide hotline or other crisis resources. threatening just to manipulate you? use whatever resources you have at your disposal.

If he says he’s gonna do it he’s a pussy and won’t do it tell him to do it then dump him. He will just wallow in self pity and stalk your Instagram for a few months and tell everyone your a witch

I’d never tell someone I care about to do that, if he’s genuinely struggling he needs help

That’s literally how you place someone on a 72 hour hold.. it’s part of their jobs lmao. Department should invest in crisis intervention officers if they don’t want regular officers dealing with it.

Leave a room..? What are you talking about💀 he did this over the phone when I tried to break up with him. And again I’m not going to do nothing and let him, it is the job of police officers to handle people who are a danger to themselves or others.

One of my friends from a couple years back was going through it and was texting everyone he knew goodbye so I called the police and they went to his address did a wellness check on him and he was in the psych hospital for a couple days. He seems to be doing much better now though, and he was thankful when I told him I called them
