I’ve had a similar experience where a few friends confided in me that made it more real for me. Will def make me very protective of my future daughter. However I will say when that guy mentioned a girl will even run into guys “like his friends growing up”. I am not friends with creepy or otherwise dangerous guys. In some circles it’s probably seen as normal but just don’t be in those circles

Like there will always be dangerous evil people who will try to harass or attack women just like there are people who steal or murder, and there are circles of people who are all psychopaths.

Like I’ve never really liked the term patriarchy because in my eyes it views it as a “societal” problem instead of creepy men who need to face the consequences of their actions. If the focus is more on personal accountability, there will be more deterrents or more consistently applied punishments that will hopefully help to decrease it.

Also I strongly believe in a good upbringing in a loving family helps as well, men receiving guidance like that forms into people where stuff like that is unthinkable. (Also holy yapping lol)

Exactly, I was never friends with those kinds of guys. I think the guy in the video was just projecting there.
