I imagine people who do that either forget they are talking to a real person, or don’t give a fuck about their feelings. They also may just want to end it without the other person asking or worse begging them to change their mind and stay messaging them.

It depends. It could have nothing to do with you. They could be going through some things personally and just not have the energy to keep in touch with people they would like to keep in touch with. But that’s the issue with a lack of communication, you just don’t know.

Yes, if they seriously couldn’t have the decency to say something like “sorry, but this isn’t working out, I want to go out separate ways”, or close to that of a respectful end of communicating then I don’t why you’d still want to be with them.
