The guy I’m dating is pretty sad is there anything a girl could do that would make you feel better? I’ve gave him space, played video games with him which actually seemed to help a lot but he’s still sad I’m just getting concerned about him

Just be there for him. Keep doing what you’re doing! Sharing time with him and keeping his mind busy means so much more to him than he will ever be able to express.

If you ever catch him laying down/ reclining on the couch and he not actively doing something, go lay on top of him, say nothing just lay there. Give him an unprompted hug.

Tf does that have to do with anything?! I despise those idiots that think working out solves mental illness.

its pretty easy to deduce that you aren’t healthy and or big due to the fact that you dont seem to understand the correlation between health and fitness and how mad u are for simply suggesting that a healthy body might actually help your mental wellbeing. does it fix everything? no ofc not, but its an outlet and something to work towards which in itself can be fufilling

I get what your saying but we also live in a country that doesn’t educate anyone on health. There are countless studies that show that physical exercise is needed and with out it, people are more prone to depression, anxiety, and obviously weight gain. Our bodies are machines. Working out helps maintain them. Please look into some of the problems with big pharma because we have directors prescribing kids with anti-depressants instead of just trying to change their habits and lifestyle.

😭 oh man a lot of arguing goin on here Every time Ive seen the phrase “ just go to the gym” in response to men’s mental health it’s usually used in a “suck it and be a man way” which I’m sure that’s why #2 responded in the way they did. You seem genuine tho I think lol I’m glad the gym has helped you out. my guy already works out a lot but lately that doesn’t seem to help either 🙃I might offer to go on a run with him and see if that helps

gym def dont fix everything but it is an outlet for me did not intend to come off like suck it up. I use it when i need a break from everything and it had made me mentally resilient as a byproduct
