VOLUNTARILY (meaning, on my own initiative) yes, absolutely. However if I ever start to feel like it’s expected (rather than appreciated) or that she’s a materialistic or greedy person or like I’m appeasing her to keep her interested/peaceful, it’s the biggest ick imaginable and it takes all the joy about being generous. Being generous towards a nice woman feels good. Towards a greedy one, feels like cowardice; like I’m letting myself be exploited

I’m the same way tbh. I think maybe find a middle ground where non expensive stuff may be ok to do in that case but like bigger gifts need to be talked through
