Is it weird that I dont date guys who watch anime cause Im asian? (Ive been fetishized since I hit puberty)

i don’t watch anime but i would say it’s normal to not want to be fetishized. i wouldn’t generalize all ppl who watch anime, but there’s definitely a lot of them that are odd

You know there are plenty of us who watch it and don’t fetishize Asians right? I just love the action and story telling of stuff. There’s definitely some really weird anime and even weirder guys that watch it though 😭

I mean people have their preferences. Even though I watch anime, my attraction to Asians never increased or decreased. Hell tbh sometimes I forget the characters are supposed to be Asian they look so different from irl Asians.

Most of the guys Ive meet have an asian fetish, when I didnt know better I had an ex who would constantly compare me to the drawings. I like see anime as a red flag now.

Yeah yall are rare for me, I have a few friends who like it. But when a guy is hitting on me and telling me he likes anime, I automatically dont feel safe

Yeah if they say it right off the bat and start talking about it a lot it’s kinda weird, but if someone asks me I ain’t gonna lie. It’s not like I don’t got other hobbies or shows I watch
