I have family in the field and although they are amazing at the job I wouldn’t date one. But the ppl in my family that work in police force are women too…so maybe that can also be a reason since they’re just women that work on the phones or in forensics

That’s a great question! There’s multiple reasons. One is they are taught to enforce racism and are much much worse on anyone of color. I could spend hours on that first point. Two they escalate situations and not de-escalate. Three they have been shown to be overall ineffective during a crisis scenarios (many different school shootings comes to mind.) Four they are one of the most likely people to abuse their partners.

What do I do? I’m currently a full time college student (although it’s summer now) and I’m trying to get an internship with a man who’s running for county executive. So technically at this very moment I am unemployed sadly.
