It’s probably one of the guys from the ask men group who keep throwing a fit every time women say they don’t like being called that

Yeah… ask men has gotten really toxic. I’m not saying we don’t have toxic people here either but wow has it gotten worse

Oh yeah I was one of those women. I got mass downvoted, called a skank, an harlot, a bitch several times, and told to kill myself. That group has gotten so massively sexist, and then they post about hating ask women bc “the women are mean and downvote to easily” like yall do the same damn thing

Why is it so hard for them to stop using literally one word women say they don’t like. Then they have the nerve to claim no they’re not sexist you’re just sensitve

The conversation begins and ends with this: the usage of bitch on women originated long ago in very sexist times to degrade and shame women. To this day it’s still often used to do such, basically to shame a woman for being female. As such many, probably the majority of women do not like the term when it is used by men. If you as a man cannot respect women’s wishes to not be called by this one singular term than you do not respect women. If you see men as men but women as “bitches” you do not vi

View the genders as equal and that is that

Why are you getting this defensive over being asked not to use slurs? If you really love women then why is it so hard for you to be respectful of them?

Use common sense, terms not rooted in misogyny are fine to use. And yes language does change over time and what I’m telling you is bitch is STILL USED for the same reason. Is it REALLY that hard for you to not use one term that is very often sexist?

A slur doesn’t stop being a slur just because you think you’re using it in a different way, you’re still using it as a derogatory word towards women only which makes it a slur for women. If you were being respectful of women you wouldn’t call them that and wouldn’t be getting this upset over being asked not to That word is STILL used in the same way it always has been when used as a slur

You’re not being respectful to women because you are refusing roe respect our request. And a slur is a slur whether you are using it as such or not. That’s why I would not use the F slur even though I am not homophobic,

There’s a difference between someone calling you a slur and someone reclaiming a slur that’s used against them, it’s 2026 that should be common sense. If you weren’t upset about being asked not to use slurs, you wouldn’t be going through all this effort to defend it, acting like we’re the crazy ones for not enjoying being called slurs

I’m not the one repeatedly calling women slurs after they ask you not to, why do males find it so amusing to act like this and wonder why people hate them

As a woman. The only way to treat me with respect is to stop using that word. Now what

And trust me, women are much more aware of how the word bitch is used than a man is

When a woman calls herself a bad bitch she is reclaiming the word. Same as gay people using the F slur and so on

No agreed we absolutely have some really nasty people here holy shit. BUT I don’t typically get told to kill myself or called slurs when I post an unpopular take. Also the way all the men just echo eachother there now is a little scary. It did not used to be like that. Sexism is RAMPANT and they will not acknowledge it. Even the way they stereotype ask women as “mean and angry” honestly gives sexism

Exactly! Not to mention when they disagree they just say names instead of having a conversation. And accusing literally every single woman they disagree with as being Aqua. Because I fought with that girl too. She was homophobic and antisemitic to me. But not everyone who disagrees with my opinion is those things.

Yeah what is with the aqua thing that’s so gross. I remember she was annoying and disrespectful but the fact they use her as an excuse to shut down any conversation they don’t like is not it. Also lowkey even if I disliked her the way they talk about her sometimes is really… uncomfortable, you can call someone out without being gross about it, and I’ve seen some very nasty sexual gross comments about her

Absolutely agreed. She was awful but making racist remarks is not acceptable under any circumstances. They didn’t simply call out her behavior or block her. They harassed her. And she was no saint either, I would go as far as to say I heavily dislike her (which is a lot for me). But behavior online is so quickly worsening.

Oh I would go as far as to say I despised her, but I wouldn’t talk to my worst enemy the way they spoke to her. You can say someone sucks without making it sexually degrading and racist wtf. And the fact now they treat literally ANY woman who makes any point they don’t like like she’s aqua is wild

There’s very few people I truly despise so I certainly can’t say the same. But regardless you are right. They still were sexually degrading her and the racist comments she faced was no joke. She didn’t do anything good but also no one deserves that contempt.
