Do you KNOW she has OCD? No. So don’t go assuming she has it when the more likely thing is sex education sucks in America and she believes that she’ll drown her baby

That being said it is possible but you’re not a psychiatrist nor her therapist so you shouldn’t be diagnosing anyone

No one is saying that she has actually has it. I just made this post to show that OCD intrusive thoughts *can* look like this. And I think it’s really important to say that because society as a whole is uneducated on it..and I also have OCD myself and it took me so long to get a diagnosis because of the lack of awareness

I also have OCD and I think a lot of people fail to realize just how irrational your thoughts can get. That severity may not be your experience but it has been mine.

Well DUH, but you jumped to the conclusion that it must be OCD. You could have just said intrusive thoughts and opened the floor up that way. as someone who has intrusive thoughts (actually intrusive not impulsive) I’m very aware that OCD is not just “oh let me organize 😁”

You heavily implied that she had it, which is an absurd and tbh really irresponsible thing to to to a stranger who you have one out of context text from. You know nothing about this person and seeing you armchair diagnose people on yak is not raising awareness

Well again, I am not saying that she has it and I am simply saying that these type of thoughts *COULD* be as someone who has experienced them myself. And I’m not just gonna sit around and let a stranger get bullied if this was something that was going on. AGAIN, I do not know anything about her and I never claimed to. I’m simply saying intrusive thoughts can look like this regardless if she has it or not. Idk how to make any of this more clear.

I’m sorry because I could have worded it better, but I don’t think you understand what my point and intention is in making this post. I’m not diagnosing her or anyone.
