in what scenarios is it appropriate/acceptable to approach a woman and ask for her number/express interest? I see girls on here saying “why don’t men approach” but I feel like 9/10 times when I see someone attractive I don’t approach bc they’re busy

Like at the grocery store if I see a pretty girl shopping is that ok to approach her? What about if it’s someone I see regularly/have interacted with before? Would she have come up to me by now if she was interested?

I wouldn't care as long as it wasn't in a place where I had no escape or scary or alone like the woods. Work, grocery store, gas station doesn't matter

Gym yes I totally get that one in terms of asking someone out, but I’m a little confused on why the only places that it’s socially acceptable to ask someone out is also where alcohol is extremely prevalent? I mean correct me if I’m overthinking this, but I feel like that’s almost the opposite of the sorta place you’d want to meet someone

Everyone is different. You’re right though, people shouldn’t just be approached at bars and clubs 🙄. I wouldn’t mind being asked in the grocery store, coffee place, bar or Barnes and Noble lol. The gym would be a big no for me because it’s my therapy.

💯 ok good to know, someone else had commented (idk if they blocked or deleted) basically saying to not approach in any situation other than bars/parties which threw me off a bit lol

“No escape” just thinking out loud here, would that feeling extend to situations like at ur job where you have to work with that person frequently? Like if I’m in a warehouse working with someone and she happens to be the only person I consistently have to work with- would that be considered a “can’t escape” situation ?

That's a tuff one, it'll be how you handle it that's important. If she says no you need to make it known it wont be weird bc she turned you down
