Whatever you do please don’t get on SSRIs long-term, I don’t know a single person who got better from doing that. They just keep changing meds and upping dosages until they’re a zombie. One person I know took their own life recently from the effects. Docs push them like candy but they seriously mess with your brain chemistry sometimes permanently. Make sure you’re getting active and getting your necessary vitamins
This might sound kind of cliche but something that helps me is trying to stay outside as much as you can: do you have to study?-lay down your picnic blanket in a soft patch of grass and study there! Want to go on your phone?-do the same!ALSO, make sure that the stuff ur watching on ur phone isn't negative, even if it's something little like a rant about a bad movie. It probably sounds silly but I really think it helps!!
awh i think that’s beautiful that you hung it up to remind yourself of the good it’s brought into your life, that’s very inspiring. i agree that drawing is very beneficial to the mind, it is something that i try to do when i can but lately it hasn’t been providing me the calming state that it used to and it’s discouraging:/ what have you been drawing that’s helped you? maybe i need to draw inspiration from elsewhere and draw something else
okay that is good to know when i go to the store! and okay once a week that is a good distinction bc that’s very different from every day lolll thank you so much for your idea i’m going to have to try ty! how long did you take it for before you noticed that it helped you feel better?
okay i haven’t drawn landscape in awhile so maybe i need to try it out again thank you 🙏 and yess i’ve done that too and it does help but lately my methods that used to help haven’t been doing the trick anymore but maybe i need approach the writing to be more organic like your suggestion so i’ll give that a try too ty
Another thing that helped me personally was finding new things to learn: try making a 3d model and then 3d print it, learn to play d&d, learn some basic "construction" things(like how to use specific tools correctly, etc.), try wood carving, learn some origami, learn jump rope tricks, learn how to tap dance, learn how to sew and make new outfits, etc.. You might find something you really enjoy too!!
