I don’t think you read what I said right or misunderstood, I’m saying being Republican does NOT inherently make you a bad person, but if you are doing things like supporting trump and the mainstream republican policies (like reversing segregation laws, getting rid of no fault divorce, no exception abortion bans, etc.) then you aren’t a person of integrity.

then i raise you this: how are women supposed to know you don’t follow the MAINSTREAM views? like it or not, that’s the state of republicanism right now. if you are socially liberal but fiscally conservative say you’re a libertarian not a republican because that will get your ideas across a lot better without making women feel like they’re in danger around you.

women are especially scared because conservative men lie on dating apps all the time just to date liberal women and try to break them down even when there’s plenty of conservative women. they often say they’re “apolitical” or “moderate” and as a result women have made it a rule of thumb to avoid these people. if you’re actually a feminist, then show it, or you’ll get grouped in with those people

Oh absolutely! I go into intense debates with the people around me all the time so I see really quickly what people believe but yeah it’s definitely rough for a lot of women

The no fault divorce is allowing divorce without needing blame or find fault in the other person, just allowing people to divorce if they just want to rather than infidelity or other issues. No fault divorce being made legal made a 20% decline in women’s suicides but many republic legislators and republicans want to make no fault divorce illegal again, making it harder to divorce your partner without evidence or proof of some wrongdoing.

I’m also not asking you to defend yourself in the comments, it’s just something for you to personally think about. Women who want real relationships want partners with similar morals and ideals which Republican men don’t share, and also for the reasons I listed, many women don’t trust republican men in general (or women for that matter).

I can’t imagine wanting to date someone with huge differences in opinion on such important matters and if you are sleeping with a woman you definitely want to be on the same page about abortion and birth controls. It’s better to look for like minded people to date.

i’m talking about the state of reality and how the average person will react. don’t be surprised if saying you’re not political or moderate will get people to avoid you. plus saying you’re not political in this climate is a huge red flag. it means you’re privileged enough to not give a shit. i’m talking about how people will perceive you. you can also just not follow my advice and date a conservative i don’t care
