Why are men always expected to make the first move?

I think it’s bc most women want a man to take the lead in the relationship and making the first move shows initiative and confidence which we like

Yeah but women also hate being approached by guys they don’t like and men would, if nothing else, appreciate it if any woman approached them. Also women would have a much higher success rate. Also I thought we got rid of gender roles? Or do we still keep them when it’s beneficial to women? Personally I like a confident woman too

Whoa that’s a lot of assumptions, first of all you can keep traditional gender roles in your relationships if you want to, that’s your choice. And you may think women would have a higher rate of success, but if a man is with other men he might reject you just bc other men are around. Also not all women don’t like being approached, if you are being kind and respectful you should not get any hatful reactions lmao

And again, I simply would never approach a man bc I like when the man is in change. I could see other women doing it, just not me personally. I don’t have trouble getting men to pursue me so?

I think that’s the issue. Women know they’ll get approached regardless so what’s the point? But men like me know we’ll die alone if we don’t figure out how to step up our game. It’s unfair but I’m not gonna blame women because I’d do the same thing if I were you

Way to generalize and bring yourself down in a pity party dude. Just bc women aren’t approaching you doesn’t mean you have to be so “up in game”. Women just usually never approach in general

I pretty much meant non-very attractive men. And we do have to step up our game, that’s just the hard truth. It seems women have so many options that we have to both take initiative and stand out unfortunately

You don’t you’re just assuming. And it just sounds like incel bait. Women are allowed to have physical traits they like and find attractive. It doesn’t mean every man to exist has to match it bc we all like different things

I never said you weren’t allowed to. But there’s certainly not nearly as many women who like overweight men. So imma give myself the best chance I can by getting lean and hopefully toned after that 🤷‍♂️

Plenty of women do. We all don’t like the same archetype of ppl

Not in my experience lmao. But anyways not even just looks I mean as a man you have to get rejected dozens of times for one yes, you have to be funny and good at flirting and reading the room and all that stuff. It’s f-ing difficult. A lot of women don’t understand that

No it’s not? Being a decent human being that respects boundaries and knows social cues to not bother ppl that look like they don’t want to be bothered should not be that hard. And it’s not even a man thing. It’s a human thing to not bother ppl if they are not wanting to be bothered. If you’re making it seem difficult you may be the problem

And rejection is normal for any party

Okay I’ll give the whole boundaries thing to you, but everything else my point still stands. And no most of you don’t know what it’s like to be rejected countless times (and often getting rude or harsh comments too). Even if you have asked someone out (which most of you haven’t) and got rejected, it’s still doesn’t compare to being rejected dozens of times without a yes

It chips away at your ego slowly each time. And unlike with women, we know that if we don’t keep trying no one will ever come to us and we’ll stay single forever
