Okay real talk though How bad are period cramps actually? Like I’ve heard them described as ‘yeah, it sucks’ and that’s it, but also ‘it’s like I’m experiencing literal medieval torture’

For me on the first day I can’t rlly move it’s so painful. If I don’t take Motrin on time there have been times I’ve passed out bc of the pain. But sometimes I’m able to mostly function through the entire day with a Motrin but there will be a couple hours when the pills effects wear off and then I have to sit again.

A lot of women experience like a heart attack level of pain, but some just experience a tummy ache. Imagine it like part of your body is shedding itself from the inside out with a cheese grater, so it depends on how sharp the blades are and how much pressure is against it.

It varies between different women, for me I usually need like an ibuprofen at most 1 or 2 days but for some women have it wayyy worse

I have really severe cramps and it’s like my legs stop working. I’ve had to pull over while driving before bc I got such a bad cramp that I could no longer push the gas petal. My cramps get so bad that I struggle to speak as well. And it’s not just cramps, also radiating leg pain, back pain, ovulation pain. It’s relentless for some

It’s different for each person. For me the pain level will fluctuate every couple months.. sometimes i’ll have a week and I will totally forget that I’m even on my period and others where I truly believe that there are little demons stabbing my insides as i curl up on my bathroom floor

Different for everyone. I’m very lucky, and all I get is a weird feeling in my outer hip that I need to spread my legs and drink water.

i basically don’t get period cramps at all. think minor stomach pains every few hours. my mom gets them so intensely that she sometimes can’t move from the floor. she told me once that every single time she gets her period, at least once, she almost calls 911 because the pain is so bad it feels like she’s dying but she knows by the time they get to her the cramp will have passed.

I also have tendency to puke sometimes and use the toilet a lot. But it’s mainly on the first day. Second day sometimes hurts but i can function just fine. It’s just rlly annoying when I can’t take off school or work or exams and I have to do everything despite how I feel.
