Exfoliate really well!! I’ve actually started waxing instead of shaving and it’s SOOO much better and last longer trust it’s worth it and the more often you get it done the easier it gets

I exfoliate before hand, use shaving oil instead of cream, use a men’s razor and make sure it isn’t dull, then afterwards I use witch hazel (mine is meant for skin idk) but only in the bikini area DO NOT GET THAT ON YOUR ACTUAL COOCH! And then I have an aloe/baby oil mix from Johnson’s brand and apply that after. Then let it breathe for a bit before undies. The last two are my holy grail and I used to have such a hard time with razor bumps

electric razor, but just a close trim, not bare. that’s what works for me anyway.

I switched to waxing and it’s been better and my hairs don’t grow back so fast so I’m less itchy

do not go against the direction of hair growth, go either in the same direction or perpendicularly across it! also exfoliate before, and i put a little bit of deodorant on my bikini line (but not too close to any actual organs) before i get dressed. if possible, avoid super tight bottoms that will rub and chafe a lot immediately after shaving (i.e. tight denim shorts or jeans, underwear with thick seams) bc extra irritation doesn’t help. source: i’ve been a ballet dancer my whole life lol

Also you do not need a lot of aloe, just enough to lightly cover the area.

Currently the eos pre-shave exfoliator because I find it more gentle than others, but I’m trying to find a better alternative that is unscented!

if i want a very thorough exfoliation, i use a clay scrub that i got at whole foods lol the brand is Pacha, i use lavender scented! if i want a more gentle one, i use clinique 7 day scrub cream, it’s for face. i focus most of the exfoliation around my bikini line and a little inside of it, don’t put anything too close to the actual organ! i also use a men’s razor, i’ve been using them for so long i forgot to mention it lol
