I look for different things in partners than I do friends. Obviously there’s some overlap but I don’t care if a friend wants kids or not. Or what their future goals are. Things for long-term relationships don’t really matter with just friendship. Plus there’s also an attraction aspect and some people are great as friends but would be terrible as romantic partners.
