Yes and no, I think women’s rights can be a gateway to learning about class consciousness (like learning about how much unpaid domestic labor women are subjected to on top of a full time job when compared to the straight men in their same position, how much they’re compensated, learning about how many big companies get sued every other year in wage discrimination lawsuits, etc) but this rise in weird choice feminism people are peddling would definitely agree it completely misses the point
Choice feminism kinda has two major schools of thought, the weird regressive trad-wife “women aren’t made to work” “i wish when men went to war” shit and the girlboss “we need more female ceos” holding onto 3rd wave “we can do it all” mentality [“all” referring to the idea of balancing a full time career and child rearing, most of us seen how our mothers and female relatives have completely burned themselves out doing this]
