Unfortunately, I think it goes both ways; a byproduct of a modern age of fast and quick connections and goodbyes. Breaks ups have always been difficult, but people used to be able to face them with a communicative outlook. Everything is too fast now. Best I can suggest is try to meet in person instead.

Sometimes women specifically ghost over safety concerns. Valid safety concerns. Over half of murdered women are murdered by a romantic partner or ex. Getting harassed by men you reject is a common experience, and many women feel safer rejecting in more subtle ways, such as ghosting, because less attention to rejection = less stalking risk.

I never said anything about the rate because idk the statistics. All I'm saying is the general rates of ghosting and the social normalcy of ghosting has increased across the board. If you're gonna say women do it more than men do, prove it with more than just personal anecdotes.

Many women, when asked for their number, will give a fake number or give their real number and immediately block when contacted. It is sometimes due to lack of maturity, but sometimes it is a safety precaution.

Most likely it’s not anything you’re doing wrong, or anything they’re doing wrong. It’s simply their safest way to interact with men. It sucks for everyone, but I think it sucks a bit more for the people who don’t feel safe communicating their honest thoughts.

You put it well, but I guess that’s totally true. They have no way of knowing my intentions, despite them being only the best. Just sucks that it’s now how it has to go, instead of a conversation. But it makes sensr
