honestly when i started working out, my body image issues subsided (i still struggle but they’re much better) bc i know im putting effort towards it. i would just remember that you can’t healthily put a timeline on wanting to lose weight and remember that it’s normal to gain back weight or stay a similar weight for a while. if you don’t seem to be losing weight right away, frame your perspective in a way that celebrates the strength and good habits you’re building:))
I don’t know much about what disordered eating is like, but personally, I think about the fact that our biological standards for beauty are based on what a healthy and fertile body looks like. If you want to be beautiful, the best thing you can do is be clean and healthy. This is more important and accurate than numbers on a scale. Work out. Eat complex carbs instead of refined sugars. Get your veggies. Sleep. And remember that what you really want to be loved for is your heart, not your body.
